My heartfelt thanks to Damian Bester for this incredible article on Australian Story in The Mercury (17-04-12).
It was a very emotional moment seeing my grandfather's name - Wilfred Winter alongside mine... he was a journalist, photographer, author and historian who spent his life in Northern Tasmania and worked for both The Advocate and The Examiner during the first part of last century.
I really do hope Australian Story makes history cool for kids.
