our big trip - day 33: Hua Hin

Monday, 1 July 2013

Our time at the Veranda Resort and Spa was very special, but it was fantastic to jump on a mini bus and head down to Hua Hin - a vibrant, bustling town just 20km south of Cha Am.

Hua Hin has a real energy to it and its shopping centre is mighty impressive. Restaurants are also plentiful and very affordable, with a fantastic variety of food. The Hua Hin Night Market is also a great place to shop and sample local foods.

My very favourite parts were the market, the grandmother selling exquisite handcrafted creatures made from leaves {to raise funds for her grandchildren's education - she had completely sold out by the time we walked back past again} and the mocktails with maraschino cherries at a bar where we played several roudy rounds of cards.

Here is a peek at our afternoon and evening in this fabulous town.
