grumpy wombat is on the way


Hurrah! Our grumpy friend has finally joined us for the official 'author photo'. Grumpy Wombat stopped by to be shot for this image just yesterday - all in preparation for the imminent release (September!!) of Riley and the Grumpy Wombat: A journey around Melbourne (Ford Street Publishing).

Illustrator Kieron Pratt said "She really didn't want to be here, preferring to stay warm and hidden from the gaze of public persons, but, with the help of various herbs and specially grown grass, she was convinced to participate."

Aren't we lucky?

    Why do I get the feeling Scarlett and that wombat are going to get along famously? Something in the pose looks familiar.
