The Bookworm
Beijing
What a huge turnout we had to the second launch of Riley and the Sleeping Dragon in Beijing!
The fabulous Jenny Niven at The Bookworm in Sanlitun, has been such a great support, helping organize this launch.
The kids loved a rowdy rendition of the story followed by goodie bags and giveaways, and a book signing.

Thank you to everyone who came along!
And special thanks to my sensational sponsors...

The BookMark

Beijing

What a fantastic time we had at the first launch of Riley and the Sleeping Dragon at the BookMark library in Shunyi.

Huge thanks goes to The BookMark for hosting this fabulous Riley launch. Deborah Lukic and Amanda Powell Castillo have been incredibly generous and supportive during the launch of Riley and the Sleeping Dragon.

Heaps of kids turned up to hear the book, to nibble some delicious cookies from Mrs Shanen's and to win a prize!

Many thanks to my supportive sponsors...

Book Week at the British School of Beijing

Book Week

at the British School of Beijing

I was thrilled to be invited to talk to the Book Week assembly at the BSB Sanlitun Campus, to wrap up a sensational Book Week 2008.

It was especially wonderful to receive a request from Riley's teacher, Mr McSweeney, to dress up like our little aviator - Riley!

I think he did a great job, don't you?

I also loved seeing the kids make such an effort to dress up like one of their favourite book characters.

You can see Riley in the centre, dressed in green as Peter Pan...

Many thanks to Janet Brock for having me, and of course, to my supportive book sponsors...

14 November 2009

The Australian Embassy

Beijing

What a wonderful evening spent with my fellow Aussies at the Australian Embassy Beijing.

Kids and adults alike loved the story and there was such a festive and supportive atmosphere.

Huge thanks go to my darling Husband and to Linda and Tim and Daisie and all who helped out and came along to share in this wonderful dream.

The book signing was amazing and I sold a heap of books and felt quite famous!

...also got a very sore hand...

...and schmoozed with some gorgeous friends...

...and shared the joy with my kids and other kids, which of course, is what it's all about...

Special thanks, as always, to my sensational sponsors...
