Mon Oncle (My Uncle), along with Les Vacances de M Hulot (Monsieur Hulot's Holiday) and Jour de Fête (The Big Day), are some of my favourite films of all time.
This incredibly precious film is an absolute joy to watch - for its comic genius (thank you M. Tati), to its lustrous 50s sets, astonishing modern house and tantalising, almost cartoon-like characters.
