School Holiday Fun: Papercuts!

Thursday, 23 April 2009

When we were in China, we had so much fun with paper cutting.

I'm not talking paperdolls here - I'm talking really sophisticated pieces that are easy enough for anyone to snip - yes, even mum and dad!

This fabulous book may be from Japan but it needs no more than the diagrams to tempt kids into creating some filagréed masterpieces.

All you need to do is fold a square sheet of paper in half twice, diagonally. The bottom corner point of the triangle is the point where the four triangles merge. Draw on the pattern and get snipping!
