Finally!
I started knitting this anorak for Ella in Beijing last year - so almost a year in the making (okay, I have a good excuse - I published two books and we moved intercountry!). I made it from a beautiful blend of wool/cashmere, even though the pattern was designed for 100% cotton.
So relieved and delighted to have it finished, just in time for the coldest days of our Canberra winter. And it's turned out even better than I'd hoped, thanks to this gorgeous knitting pattern by Debbie Bliss. I absolutely adore Debbie's patterns and only wish I had more time to knit them all.
Next on the agenda - little matching handwarmers for the anorak. Ella is also knitting the same handwarmers in bright green acrylic. I'll post pics later!
