When we first moved into our new house - not even six months ago, it was so exciting to decorate. But how quickly kids change, especially when they've just returned to their home country from 4 years abroad. There has to have been changes in these little people during that time.
When we first got home from China, it was a delight to open all the long-stored boxes and find old babyhood and early childhood treasures. Of course, I had to stash a lot away - treasures for an 18 month old certainly don't fit a roustabout 6 year old any more, no no.
I did, however, leave some things hovering around and I know I need to clear them. I need to mature my kids' rooms. Maybe I need to, but do I want to?

I'll leave it a little while longer, then I think it might be time to redecorate.
Always an excuse. Isn't decorating a process not an end?
Stay tuned for a peek at Ella's room.

I think his room is lovely Tania and not babyish. What would he like to see more of in his special space?
I agree with you, it is a process. I thoguht it was just me- I spend ages decorating a room and then when it is done I'm over it. Like my bedroom. I have just spent thousands on it and now it looks like a teal tornado went off in there. I don't know if I like it at all anymore.
Tania, this room is just gorgeous. I LOVE the colour scheme. I think its perfect for a little boy - but I know how you feel, I get tired of decor so quickly. Good luck, I can't wait to see Ella's room.
