Monday 26 October 2009
October is Breast Cancer Month and Monday is Pink Ribbon Day in Australia. Organised by the National Breast Cancer Foundation, the day is everyone, for every woman - and aims to raise vital funds in support of breast cancer research.
If you haven't got your pink ribbon breakfast sorted, head here to register. The event can be held any time during October and is a great excuse to get together with friends, family and colleauges, in support of the wonderful work being undertaken to save women's lives.
To read an inspiring book on all things boobalicious, and simultaneously raise funds while you do so, don't miss my interview with Sarah Darmody, author and editor of Thanks for the Mammaries (Penguin). All proceeds from the sale of the book go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
You can read my very inspiring interview with wonderful author Sarah Darmody (who lost both breasts to a double mastectomy after discovering she carried the BRCA2 mutation gene) at Australian Women Online here.
