I must admit, I was reluctant to join yet another blogging scheme but FebuSave has kind of got under my thickly-encrusted blogger skin. It's created a real buzz around the blogosphere and learning to conquer money fears and learn more about our spending habits and goals is something I feel passionate about.
Joining FebuSave means I can spend the month of February really committing to saving some extra funds - in my case, I want to pack away some money to print my next book - and having just placed the kids in a school with higher fees, I'll be needing to do a lot of money-packing!
I've committed, on the FebuSave website, to give up shopping. I truly believe that every time we leave the house, money drains from our pockets, and sale time is ironically the time we lose our cash the fastest. So I'm not going near shops. I'll even forgo a caffè lattè (gasp!) and instead make one at home.
Now, that's commitment.
I also encourage you to get onto FebuSave and join in the female blogging fun. You can get more information at bemoneyconfident.com where you can share your best saving tips and even request an A-Z Review - a complimentary financial assessment at any ANZ bank. You'll also find a range of cool tools and calculators to help you work out your budget and savings potential.
Super added bonus - you could win one of three $5,000 prizes to add to your caffè lattè account, just by participating. Don't be scared. Put down that caffè lattè and lay that bank account bare!
In the meantime, what fabulous savings tips can you offer me to get through Feb?

It's interesting that a big bank can get so much support in the online world. This initiative has hit a raw nerve with lots of us I think!
