It's a Horse's Life

Tuesday, 30 March 2010

It was so great to meet a lovely teacher's aide - Kelly - recently. She was not only a pleasure to chat to (and sign a book for!), it was really wonderful to learn her little girls - Jessica and Rebecca - are frequent readers of Ella's Mango and Max rabbit blog.

As is the way with nine-year-old girls, Ella's rabbit focus (which just last year had totally eclipsed a dog then cat obsession) has been surpassed by horses of late... since Christmas, really, which is coincidentally the time Ella stopped posting on Mango and Max. Now it's The Life of A Horselover all the way.

Maybe next week it will be ferrets or monkeys, but I don't mind. It's just glorious to see little girls so absorbed in animals, sport, craft, travel, books and other worthwhile pursuits. Forgive me, but the longer I can stave off vampires, boob tubes and tongue piercings, the better.

Hi Tania,
You have made our day by mentioning us on your blog. We have read and reread your beautiful books. It was lovely to meet both yourself and Keiron ( the kids thought he was very funny).
We're off to Tassy on the weekend and I've made a list of kid friendly places to see from your site.
Please say a big hello to Ella from my girls.
From Kelly(the teacher's aide), Jessica and Rebecca.
