And yes, I spared him.

There is nothing, simply nothing, like a home-grown, vine-ripened tomato. Bliss.

Lovely photos, Tania! What a cute baby snail. If we had snails (which we don't here - only slugs) he probably would have been chook food, cause I love my chooks more than snails (though once as a child, I tried to take up snail 'farming').

How are the tomatoes going this year? Are they ripening? It's been such a cool summer, I wondered if they would struggle. Which member of the onion family does the white flower belong to? My chive flowers are very similar, but purple (so pretty). I grow them almost as much for the flowers as the stalks. :)

Thank you! Isn't he a sweetie - honestly no longer than 4mm. I couldn't bear to squish him. Envious of your chooks, though.

Tomatoes are doing well - they have such a sunny spot. We're growing cherry and roma really well.

The spring onions - not sure the type as hubster planted them - but I left this last lot because I wanted to see them flower - they are exquisite and the flowers are enormous, as are the stems.

The garden is still so lovely, but starting to fade - my agapanthus all gone to seed. :(
