weereewa festival short story competition
Tuesday, 7 August 2012
I'm absolutely delighted to be judging the children's section of the Weereewa Festival Short Story Competition.
The themes for the competition revolve around the word AWEsome for student sections and AWE-inspiring for the adult section.
AWE, an acronym for ARTS, WATER (WEEREEWA), ENVIRONMENT, is the over-arching theme of the 2014 Weereewa Festival.
In conjunction with the short story competition, the Festival has established a Writer in Schools program, which I'll also be conducting at a number of regional schools. You can contact Barbie Robinson if you are interested in learning more about this.
Entries to the short story competition should be received from 1 August 2012 to 31 May 2013. Details, entry forms and conditions can be downloaded from the Festival website www.weereewafestival.org
