Today at 10.30am in Civic Square in Canberra, I will be laying two very humble pieces of knitting on the ground - two little pieces I completed earlier this year. Little rectangles, about the size of a bookmark.
Why?
To make Canberra's Longest Bookmark, of course! The amazing people at Dickson Library dreamed up this absolutely fantabulous idea in celebration of the National Year of Reading and today the time has arrived - the bookmark will be presented in all its glory, and laid out on Civic Square - all FOUR KILOMETRES of it!
If you are in the city today, come along and say hi - it's going to be spectacular!
