This review from the amazing Dimity Powell, like all of her reviews, just - wow. Such evocative language and, for those of you who also write, having a reviewer not only clearly 'see' your work, but understand it... it's everything.

And in fact, to then go on and explain, with clarity, their understanding... and en plus - ADD observations you didn't even see... well. Thanks, Dim.

'...AlphaKid: An A – Z of Antics is the latest in her cache of kids’ books exploring the natural wonders and inhabitants of planet Earth, and it’s a cracker.

There are A, B, C books and then there are A, B, C books that not only educate but necessitate repeated visits because their artwork is so captivating and their presentation so clever, they warrant closer inspection. AlphaKid falls squarely into the latter category...'

Review: Australia's Wild Weird Wonderful Weather

Big thanks to Magpies magazine for this sensational review of Australia's Wild Weird Wonderful Weather. It's such a joy when reviewers 'get' your work! Loved working on this book with the amazing Stephanie Owen Reeder, so very much.

Smile Cry Review on Books + Publishing

An amazing review for Australian Kids Through the Years

Sometimes a review comes along that just makes your heart sing and makes all the research, passion and seemingly endless hard work on a book feel worthwhile. (Truth by told, even if my books didn't receive such heartwarming reviews, all of these things would still be worthwhile because I just love making books that much!)

Like all books, Australian Kids Through the Years took a lot of my heart into its pages--and this reviewer so 'got' everything Andy and I (and the NLA team) did to make this book come alive--it just felt goosebump-tingly to read all she had written.

So, thank you, thank you, Momo.

Beijing Tai Tai Review on Taiwanxifu

It was such a pleasure to meet Serina Huang recently--first online and then at one of my ACT Writers' Centre workshops. Serina has a fabulous blog called Taiwanxifu (it means Taiwan daughter-in-law) and she recently did a gorgeous review of Beijing Tai Tai--you can read it by clicking on the image above.

Make sure you stick around and take a look at her blog, too--it's a fascinating, eclectic mix of foodie posts, travel, culture, kids and the expat life. Love it!
