spree!

One of the wonderful things about your husband lumping a work colleague brunch for 20 on you {i know!}, is that you get to say to him "...but I don't have the kitchenware to cater for that many..." to which he respondes "...well buy it..."

Now, this may sound like a normal thing to say, but for my husband... it's NOT. So you can imagine I was out of the house like a shot this morning to hunt for treasure.

And this is what I found...

Yes, I went a little over the top, did I not?

But it was sooooo cheap! I headed to DFO and snaffled the cake stand and gorgeous, trรจs Provincial blue coffee bowls and deep red cups for a song, then I thought I'd give Freedom a go - it's been ages since I've visited, and I cleaned up!

SO loving these amazing, classic, modern tea cups with saucers hosting a pouty-turned up lip. The matching side plates are just divine in their simplicity - and only $4.95 each!! And don't you just love the nautical red and white stripe coffee cups? $1.95 each!

These gorgeous plain tumblers were a mere $1.95 and the latte glasses (beautifully rounded, like a tulip) were just $3.95. But my favourite thing of all are the incredible, wedge-like cereal bowls - again only $4.95 each and just stunning.

And everything fits perfectly with my red and white Christmas theme this year, so Festive entertaining is also wrapped up.

Stay tuned for a post on the brunch for 20... I am big on making things super simple, and I have some really great time-cutting ideas that will still have your guests gasping.

Fun! (the shopping, not the hosting)

LOL! I got it at a store called Form Home - which is near Monkey Mania. Only $30!! The red cups and blue coffee bowls are from there, too.

Oh what fun!! My husband never says "buy it" either so when he does, i go nuts too. That is totally cool, i loathe the DFO (i know you do too) but when you are on a mission . . . 'tis the place!! Love the styling, i know the event would have gone off with perfection, as only you can my love. Love it, hugs, love Posie
