book reading at government house open day, Canberra
Wednesday, 14 March 2012
Want something sunshiny and fun to do this Sunday? If you're in the Canberra region, bring the whole family along to Government House Open Day - a wonderful day-long experience. I will be reading and signing Australian Story: an illustrated timeline, along with other other National Library authors.
This year's event will take place from 10am-4pm, Sunday 18 March 2012 at Government House, Dunrossil Drive, Yarralumla.
Explore the magnificent house, enjoy a huge new line-up of entertainment for all ages and picnic in the glorious gardens. Visit market stalls showcasing Canberra's finest food, wine, arts and crafts, watch celebrity cook-offs and entertain the kids with singing, science, stories, dancing, acrobatics and more.
Other highlights include the ACT Libraries storytelling tent, Bunnings craft workshops PLUS wooden boat rides on the lake, hot air balloon rides and a spectacular aerobatic display from the Roulettes!
