National Simultaneous Reading Time
On 23 May 2012, schools, libraries and organisations all over Australia will be joining forces - on the dot of 11am - to read Nick Bland's The Very Cranky Bear - all in support of National Simultaneous Reading Time. This wonderful, annual event has been aligned for 2012 with the National Year of Reading.
This year, I will be reading Riley and the Grumpy Wombat and perhaps another Riley book or two, at the National Library of Australia, right after The Very Cranky Bear reading by the library's Ben Pratten.
Bring your tots along to celebrate this wonderful event, which kicks off at 10.45am. After the readings, there will also be a very special craft and activities corner running until 3pm. See you there!
