cabinet makeover

Saturday 10 November 2012

Maybe it's because summer is weeks away, I don't know. Whatever it is, I'm going gaga for colour right now. The bolder the better. White white white with splashes of bright. And my latest furniture revamp is my favourite yet.

How did I make this . . . ?

Well, I took this . . . {Salvos find - love knowing our money is going to the Salvos and I NEVER bargain them down}.

And I painted and repainted and repainted in vivid gloss white. Then I took British Paints Mineral Shower (W) 314, and sploshed it on the inside. It was a lot of work, but the waiting-for-it to dry was the hardest part.

Finally, finally, husband helped me drag it into my studio - et voila - here it is, stacked with treasure.

I absolutely love it, and it fits that little curved nook perfectly.

I think there's nothing like a space revamp. I recently revamped my entire studio for around $150. See what I did with these photos here. Are you planning a revamp sometime soon? Next is our family living area. Stay tuned.

Completely awesome, did yo have anything in that curve before, i think it was bare right?? Looks fantastic. Love the Riley blue shirt colour inside the bottom, glorious. You have done an amazing job - it had potential, but not loads, you've made it incredible. Great price too. Love Posie

So beautiful. I'd want that cupboard door open all the time though.

I had a short, cruddy old bookcase there, Posie. I so need MORE bookcases!! At least this cabinet has book space.
