Bugger the swimming pool - it's boxes kids want

What is it with boxes and kids? The entire neighbourhood turned up when news spread that we had four of these monsters - big enough for three children to have a picnic inside. Or park an imaginary aeroplane.

The whimsical comments parents have made for decades is true - kids do love the wrapping paper and the boxes the most. Proof is in the pudding - this lot were occupied, totally and gorgeously, for almost three HOURS.

Yes, mum. Fall over.

Then run out immediately and spend a fortune on boxed furniture so the kids can enjoy the empty spoils.

Any excuse, I say.
