Floral Designs

Thursday, 25 February 2010

I have the most creative, nature-loving daughter and it thrills me to see her adopt my love of beauty and all things mothernaturey. I'm forever pointing out beautiful flowers, plants, trees and vistas to the kids.

I'm going to be one of those really embarrassing mothers - you know the ones with their teenage kids and their friends in the car and I go and say something like "Oh my, look how the sun is kissing the very top leaves of that tree, like someone is shaking a canister of golf leaf and it's tumbling down from above".

I'll torture them, I'm sure.

Anyhoo - I'm proud to showcase what my little floral designer did after we came home from swimming lessons the other day. First, it was a belt made of a rose and long spiky purple leaf. Then it was a floral creation made after plucking the spent purple buds from an agapanthus stalk. I still have this sitting on my desk.

Clever girl.
