book reading for Live in Canberra

Wednesday, 13 April 2011

So lovely to read Riley and the Curious Koala at the Crowne Plaza yesterday. Live in Canberra is a government-subsidised organisation that supports new families arriving in Canberra, whether it be expats on temporary assignment, or Aussies totally relocating their lives.

The Crowne Plaza hotel kindly donated use of the gorgeous Binara One room, where guests enjoyed tea, coffee, drinks and a sumptuous morning tea. Kiddles enjoyed balloons and a visit from the Lollipop's Playland Lion, then a book reading from me.

It was so much fun chatting with the kids and their parents, and catching up with the lovely Jenny Tiffen. Huge thanks to Glynis Rathbone for having me!

Hi Tania, I am a Children's Librarian in a regional public library in South Australia. We have 'Riley and the Curious Koala' at our library and it is such a great story. I will have to get copies of your other Riley books to add to our collection. If you are ever in regional South Australia touring, we would to see you visit our library. Keep up the fabulous work. Kind Regards Treann.

How lovely to hear from you, Treann! and such sweet things to say. I would absolutely love to do some more touring - why don't you make contact by email and so I can be in touch if I head over your way? T
