green milk, in glass
Tuesday, 11 October 2011
Do you love milk glass? I've had a quiet obsession with it for many years now, and my eyes have been firmly hooked on Donna Hay's stunning green milk glass cake stands for quite some time.
Last time I was in Sydney, I snaffled the green jug and tumbler set - and eyed the cake stands longingly before leaving the store without them {I could barely carry all I'd purchased, as it was!}.
So it was with much leaping and squealing that I received the old 'text from the Donna Hay General Store front counter' on the weekend - from dear friend Jennie McClelland of Posie Patchwork. Did I want her to pick anything up for me?
Ummm ... yes, OK!
So here is what she picked up... the big one. Ready and waiting for my Mum's Christmas cake this December... and not only that, a little baby one, too - a gift from Jennie - that will be piled to the sky with home-made fruit mince tarts.
Am I not the luckiest girl in the whole wide world?
Thanks, Jenn. xxx

I LOVE milk glass too, but I'm fond of the vintage white milk glass pieces.
The smaller cake stand looks adorable. It certainly would look beautiful with mince tarts piled high.
Enjoy :)
Oh look at the family of green glass, i feel like the proud midwife delivering them to you!! My pleasure about the courier service & gift, the baby pedestal was squealing "take me to my leader" & there you have them, all together. Love Posie
gorgeous!
