I've gone the simple route for Christmas decorating this year. I have a lot on {who doesn't?!} and am hosting Christmas with my side of the family here. So, it was all about simplicity and whimsy. Above you'll see I also had a gingerbread production line happening . . . more on that later.
Here is a little peek at what I've done - a really pared down effort but one of my favourites ever. I'm currently decorating our back decking with lights, so will post pics of that a little later. This Christmas is all about being outdoors, resting in adirondack chairs {thank you Posie!}, laying in hammocks, nibbling, sipping and sharing our wonderful life.
How is your Christmas decorating going?
my favourite tree in the world - my feather tree (all the way from the US of A) |
my ribbon ornaments from last year adorn my favourite tree |
i must admit, i have a thing for snow globes; these teensy ones are recent addition (David Jones) |
my paper wreath tutorial can be found here. it's actually made from book pages |
we may live in the Australian heat, but I have an obsession with my snowy ceramic village, bought in China. this painting of iceberg roses is my favourite of all the original art we bought over there |
a recent, very Aussie acquisition |
and finally - the tree - very simple this year, Scandinavian-inspired |
